‘Comment Jam’ to Stop Uranium Mining

Hot Springs, S.D., (Feb. 20 , 2025) - People Over Party, South Dakota, joined the local Fall River interveners,

It's All About the Water South Dakota, Dakota Rural Action, & Black Hills Clean Water Alliance pulled this 'Comment Jam' together for an educational event and mostly to strongly encourage the local residents to place their comment online at the USD Forest service.

Better Together-People Over Party provided our soup for the evening.

Eliza Blue provided amazing, fabulous entertainment. We not only accomplished work for community to protect our water and resources, but had a wonderful time together.

Voter Registration Drive & Holiday Community Event

Rapid City, S.D., (Dec. 9 , 2025) - People Over Party, South Dakota, hosted an event that featured music from the Rapid City Young People's Chorus, free food, and educational tables on the January 20th, Rapid City will have a special election to decide the fate of a proposed tax increment financing district. "This is an opportunity for our community to come together, ensure everyone has access to voter registration, and learn about important local issues," said Nicole Stone, People Over Party Founder.

The Rapid City Young People's Chorus will perform holiday carols throughout the afternoon and will b e accepting donations t o support their upcoming 2026 performance trip to New York City.

The beginning

Our debut weekend was spent feeding Rapid City People’s Agenda and the Homeless Coalition at the Minneluzahan Senior Center. No agenda, just feeding people in the community who are working to better Rapid City. We informed them of our mission and agenda and of the upcoming gathering. At the heart of our efforts to education, collaboration and empowerment.
